About

I know there are about as many parenting blogs as there are parents, so thank you for taking the time to read mine.
Like most writers I know, I have been putting my thoughts down on paper (real or virtual) since I was able to write full sentences. Eventually, I was deemed decent enough to get paid and spent nearly seven years writing on everything from music to retail.
After giving birth to a high-needs baby, I realized staying home with him was the best thing for my family. However, as much as I loved being with my son, I yearned to write again.
I started this blog as a way to cope with new motherhood and vent about all that comes with it. Since then, my firstborn has grown into a fiery little man, and another mellow boy has joined the crew.
I can’t promise this blog will be better than the others, or that I will have some magical advice, or even that I will write as much as I should. I just hope I can bring some joy to all the guardians out there caught between meeting the needs of their children and finding some time for themselves.

  1. The Undomestic Goddess

So, I am reading your blog because I’m intrigued by the name. Since becoming a mother and deciding to stay home, I’ve realized my shower habits have become very low by American standards (I hear other countries are more on my level). Now I say, I only wash my hair once or twice per week because it’s “better for my hair.” I don’t shower so often because it’s “better for my winter-dry skin.” These things are, in fact, true. But the bigger reason is I’m lazy. And busy. It’s an odd combo. 🙂
